Wednesday Words – Movie Dream Cast

Have you noticed that our Wednesday Words posts are often lists of hot people that we love? LOL yeah, me too. But here we go again! This week our topic is to think up a dream cast for a movie version of a book. 🙂 Being the often confused one of the group my first thought was, “Of a book I’ve written? Or a book I love that isn’t a movie yet?” Then Jess in all of her wisdom was like, “Either!” Which didn’t help me at all, damn it. LOL (I still love you, Jess!)

Here’s the thing… I’ve got a handful of finished books I’ve written but they’re all fanfic. Specifically, fanfic revolving around a particular hot boy band member, sometimes in an AU type of setting. So the obvious dream cast would be to have the people they’re based on star in a movie version of the book. But that would be a really boring blog post. :p My other issue is that of my non-fanfic stuff, none of them are finished and only a handful of people have read them. To add on to that, the thought of choosing some other book to cast is making my head hurt. LOL why do I make things so difficult?!

So I guess I’ll just cast one of the unfinished pieces. It’s actually not that hard because when I started writing this one, I had a bunch of people already in my head. Haha… not to be confused with the voices in my head. The book, at this point at least, is called Homecomming. It’s about a chick in her twenties named Jasmine Pezotti who is from Michigan and she’s a writer. A film crew comes to her home town to make a movie and she meets a uber cute movie star named Carter Greene. They have this amazing love affair but over the years suffer tradgedy and when the book begins it’s pretty much the end of their relationship. Jasmine comes home to Michigan to be with family, and dun dun dunnnnn… her long-time crush Trevor Hart is back home and totally single and still head over heals in love with her. So she’s trying to find herself again, falling in love/lust, and trying to figure out if things with Carter are truly over or not. Typical love triangle gushy love story. 🙂 Oh and in an interesting twist, Jasmine’s in the process of having one of her books turned into a movie during the story too. So there ya go… 🙂

Here’s my cast as they currently live in my head.

Jasmine Pezotti – played by Jennifer Lawrence
jen

Kevin Pezotti (Jasmine’s big brother) – played by Kevin Richardson
kev

Gracie Pezotti (Niece extrodinaire, Kevin’s daughter) – played by random adorable kid
gracie

Carter Greene – played by Nick Carter
nicky

Trevor Hart – played by Joe Manganiello
joey

There are other characters too, but I don’t have anyone in mind for them. LOL

So let’s see what the other Wednesday girls have in mind for their movies, shall we?

Wed Words: Actors & Actresses

It’s time for a favorites list! This time I only struggled a little. LOL We’re supposed to share our favorite actors and actresses but I specifically tried to choose people this time that I haven’t gushed over before. Because yeah, we’ve already done celebrity crush type posts and I could just list all of the same peeps again. So here are several people that I love like whoa. The ladies are up first, then the boys. 🙂

IMG_0624.JPG

Mae Wittman.  I’ve loved her since she was an adorable child actor and still love her now that she’s all grown up.  She’s adorable and a great actress. Look for her in The Perks of Being a Wallflower, and Parenthood.

IMG_0623.JPG

Rose Byrne.  Honestly, I can’t name more than a few things off the top of my head that Rose has been in, but I love her. I think she’s gorgeous and I love her voice and she was freaking hilarious in Neighbors.  I’m looking forward to seeing her in the new Annie remake. 🙂

IMG_0626.JPG

Emma Stone.  She’s perfection.  I don’t think I’ve ever seen her in anything that I’ve disliked.  I’m also amazed that she looks good in absolutely any hair color.  Did you know she’s a natural blonde?! 🙂

IMG_0622.JPG

Diane Lane.  I’ve been in love with her forever.  She’s gorgeous and sexy and amazingly talented.  Adore!

IMG_0627.JPG

Jennifer Lawrence.  I love her.  That’s all. 🙂

IMG_0617.JPG

Miles Teller.  The first time I saw this kid he was in the remake of Footloose as Willard.  I laughed so hard during his learning to dance scene that I snorted.  I’ve loved everything he’s been in (although it’s SO hard for me to watch him as a mean guy in Divergent!).  He’s a great actor.

IMG_0628.JPG

Chris Pratt.  I’m so happy for this guy!  I have loved him since he was on Everwood and have always thought he was just this amazing actor… so for him to finally find so much success this year with Guardians of the Galaxy makes me so damn happy!

IMG_0619.PNG

Luke Evans.  *swoon* I can’t say how much I love him.  He’s just gorgeous and sexy and British and yeah… looove! I still need to see Dracula Untold. Yum! He’s also the only reason I want to see the Hobbit movies. :p

IMG_0620.JPG

Adam Driver. I’ve only seen him in one movie that I can remember.  But this guy was so good in This Is Where I Leave You that I want to see everything he’s been in.  Plus he’s going to be in the new Star Wars so yay!  (No, I’m not one of those Star Wars fans who is all bitchy whiny about the new movies… I’m actually excited, so take that!).

IMG_0621.JPG

Henry Cavill.  Again, I’ve only seen one of his movies, Man of Steel, but I fell in looooove with him, and not just because he’s ridiculously hot.  Despite what my niece and nephew think, I thought that Henry was the best Superman we’ve seen in a really long time.  I think he’s absolutely perfect for the role.

And there you have it! More people I love that I haven’t posted about a few dozen times. 🙂

Let’s see what the other girls have to share…

Wed Words : Fictive Crushes

Edit: So apparently I got this week’s topic wrongish. I thought we were only talking about fictional crushes in books. But as you’ll see, I was the only one who did that. LOL so yeah, I could’ve made this way easier if I included tv and movie crushes. Oh well…

It’s almost Wednesday which means I’m once again sitting here with my iPad treating to figure out what to type to fit this week’s topic for Wednesday Words. I don’t know why these are so damn hard for me! 🙂

This week we’re supposed to be talking about crushes we have on fictional characters. So of course I’ve drawn a total blank. LOL Don’t get me wrong, I fall in love with characters all the time, I’m just having a hard time thinking of who those characters are.

“Jace” from The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare – Yeah, he can be kind of a selfish dick, but I admit, I love the kid. Plus I loooooved Jamie Bower’s portrayal of him in the City of Bones movie.

“Ron Weasley” from Harry Potter – I heart Ron. I loved him when I read the books and loved him even more when Rupert Grint brought him to life.

“Alcide” from the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris – I loved Alcide before I fell in love with Joe Manganiello. I tend to love the warm blooded shape shifters. 🙂

“Peeta Melark” from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins – I’ve always been Team Peeta! Gale just sort of annoyed me. LOL

“Graf” from American Vampire by Jenny Trout – I thought Graf was awesome. He’s a vampire who is totally ok with being one instead of the tortured soul so many paranormal writers have made vamps.

“Augustus Waters” from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green – Oh, Gus! I love him so much, it’s ridiculous. So many great quotes from him in the book and he’s just so damn easy to fall in love with!

“Devin” from Lost Lake by Sarah Addison Allen – I love to write quirky kid characters into stories and Devin was a great example of that. Devin was a kid I would love to know and hang out with because she’s just so cool. I loved everything about the little girl.

“Bear” from Donut Days by Lara Zielin – A big bad biker who knits… What’s not to love?

That’s all I can think of. I’m sure once this posts I’ll think of a ton more. LOL

Do you have a Book Boyfriend/Girlfriend or a character you just adore?

Wed Words: Favorite Songs

It’s time for another round of My Favorite Things! This week we’re sharing favorite songs and as usual, I struggled with making my list. I LOVE music. I always have music in my head. I can’t tell you who my favorite artist is or what my favorite type of music is… I just like music. So here are a few of my favorite random songs.

There you have it! 🙂 Have a look and see what songs the girls have chosen as their favorites.

Wed Words – Happy

Apologies for being absent for a few weeks. Things around here haven’t been so great. In fact, I’m currently on a two week medical leave from work because things with my depression have been so bad. Which is funny considering I’m supposed to write this week about what makes me happy. That’s a really hard thing to ask of someone who is in a double depression. But, I’ll do my best.

* My Doodlebutt – I love my niece and nephews all so much that I can’t put it into words. But the youngest one, aka Doodlebutt, is kind of in his own special category. Maybe it’s because he’s almost 8 and still likes a good snuggle, or because he hasn’t grown out of Aunt Kellie being on the Cool list… But there’s just something about the kid that makes me grin. Yeah, he can annoy me at times, but generally he makes me giggle like a nut. He’s uber creative and makes up the craziest stories. He just wants to be listened to, and so I do my best to do that for him as much as I can. He’s the baby and his bigger sibs aren’t always so appreciative of his crazy creative spirit, so I give him as much love as I can, and he gives it right back.

* Knitting – I used to knit every day. Now, my hands wouldn’t really let me do that, but I really do enjoy a good knit session with friends. When Bronwyn and Jenny started knitting this year I was SO happy! I don’t get to knit with them nearly enough due to the fact we all live an hour apart, but when we do, it’s great. And I’ve been trying to make an effort to find time to knit with my local peeps more too. I’m working on a sweater that I cannot wait to wear! It’s the first sweater I’ve knit for myself. 🙂

* Medication – Okay, medication doesn’t make me happy, but it helps make it easier for me to be happy despite this annoying disorder.

* My Mom – My mom is kind of amazing. She puts up with me and never gives up on me even when I’m on the crazy train. I love her long time.

* Coffee – I’m not exactly an emotional eater, but I do tend to use coffee as a reward. Had a rough home visit? You deserve a trip to Starbucks! I know, it’s not great to reward with food/drink, but coffee really is a comfort to me and so is sitting in a coffee shop.

* Great Books – I love to get lost in a good book. I stayed up til 3:30 this morning reading Jenny’s The Bride before I couldn’t stay awake any longer. 🙂 Books always make me want to write too.

* Fall – Fall is my favorite season. I love the color changes, being able to wear jeans and socks, not being sweaty all the time… It’s bliss. Of course, tomorrow it’s going to be in the mid 70’s here, geesh.

* Friends – I have some pretty amazing friends. The kind who stick around even when I’m not myself and know that I’ll eventually get back.

* Movies – I would go see a movie every day if I could. They kind of fall into the same category as books and music… Great escapes. I saw This Is Where I Leave You last weekend and it was SO good! Great movies make me want to write as well.

* Backstreet Boys – You saw this one coming, right? I love them, they make me happy, I’m not planning on giving them up anytime soon. My first concert was 16 years ago last week. 🙂

* Blog Comments – Okay, this is a shameless plea… I KNOW people read this blog because I get notifications that the posts have been viewed and I have followers. But for some reason only a handful of you take time to respond. If you’re one of those people… I LOVE you! Seriously. Writing a blog that no one bothers to comment on is depressing. It’s like talking and feeling like no one is listening. Just take a minute to respond, please? It really isn’t that hard and I don’t have one of those damn password things that you have to type in order to post. 🙂 Even if you just say hi, it’s awesome.

So there you have it… What makes YOU happy? Let me know and then see what my girls have to say.

Wednesday Words: Zodiac

IMG_0143.JPG

Hello again my fair readers!

I can’t believe that it’s time for our weekly post again already. I also can’t believe that I’m working on mine before dark. LOL This week’s topic is “What’s your sign – does it fit?” I’m kind of tempted to just post the above graphic and say, “Yep.” LOL I’m SUCH a typical Cancer there isn’t a whole lot more I can say. When I read a description about what a Cancer is supposed to be like, it’s usually me to a T.

Moody? Yep. Passionate? Yep. Forgives but doesn’t forget? Absolutely. Home body? Yuh huh. Easily hurt? Yep. Struggles letting go? Story of my life. 🙂 Quiet? Definitely. Intuitive? Oh yeah.

My best friend Shawn says that I’m scary because of how intuitive I can be sometimes. I’ll admit, there are times when I feel like my intuition is a little more than intuition… like, I sometimes can just know that someone I love is having a bad day even if they’re states away and I haven’t spoken to them. But most of the time I just pay attention. I’m huge on details, I notice things that other people don’t. I’ll notice by the way someone types a text message that they’re in a shitty mood just because their typical way of responding has changed.

IMG_0144.JPG

That little doozy right there? I can’t tell you how true it is. It generally takes a lot to get me mad and even more to make me lose my temper. But when I do get mad and do lose my temper, you better watch out. I’m the ultimate Mama Bear and if someone is hurting a person that I love, you better watch out. 🙂

So yeah… that’s me! 🙂

Favorite Things – TV Edition

Ahh, television, how I love it. I haven’t been watching a whole lot of anything lately because when I get stressed out I either watch a whole lot of Disney Junior or I don’t watch anything. I think the last time I turned the tv on in my bedroom was a few weeks ago when my nephew was spending the night. I do love tv though. 🙂

For the record, I’ll just be the first one to admit that unlike most (maybe all) of my fellow Wednesday Words girls I have never seen an episode of Dr. Who, Merlin, or Sherlock. LOL Not that I think I’d dislike them, but yeah… I just haven’t. The thought of Dr. Who overwhelms me because there are so many seasons. I like to do things in order and even though I’ve been told which Dr. to begin with, it might bug me not to start at the very beginning. :p I’ve also never watched Breaking Bad or The Walking Dead although both shows are in my Netflix queue. 🙂

Anywho… these are the totally random favorite-ish shows of mine in no particular order.

20140805-232141-84101933.jpg
I can’t help it, I love this show. It’s freaking adorable and when I need something fluffy to watch that doesn’t involve sad things or reality, the Doc is my girl. 🙂

20140805-232238-84158768.jpg
I just got caught up on the first four episodes of this show and it’s pretty damn good. I’m not a big fan of the whole wormy thing that these vampires use to feed, it’s kind of gross, but it’s a cool show. I’m very curious to see how it plays out.

Oh em gee I love this show! If you haven’t watched it and you have access to Netflix, go watch! There are only two seasons so far and it’s a total of 12 or 13 episodes. It’s such a weird, funny, touching show. Ricky Gervais is absolutely amazing in it. I have laughed, snorted, and cried watching this show. And it’s up for an Emmy!

20140805-232408-84248546.jpg
I’m only part way through the first or second season of this show but wow is it good! If I had time to sit and binge watch I totally would. I just think it’s such a clever idea and I love hearing the inner dialogue when he just doesn’t understand normal human interactions. 🙂

20140805-232616-84376870.jpg
I have last season’s DVD’s sitting on my coffee table right now and I neeeeed to watch them. If you recall my celebrity crushes post, you’ll remember that a certain sexy man named Joe Manganiello was on it and well… he’s on True Blood. 🙂 Yes, I do know the fate of his character this season… damn spoilers. But I love the show. Yeah, it’s not like the books, blah blah woof woof, but it’s still good. In some ways, I think the show has been better than some of the books. Speaking of the books, I still have to read the last one or two of the series. :p

I’m sure there are a billion other shows I could share, but honestly… I should be asleep right now. I have court tomorrow for work and haven’t slept for crap lately so I’m hoping tonight the Ativan will kick in and work it’s magic!

Tell me what your favorite shows are and check out the girls to see what they like to watch! I’m not sure if all the girls are blogging this week because several of them are already at Authors After Dark in North Carolina.

Abigail Barnette
For perpetual overachiever Madison Lane, a summer studying Arthurian mythology in the Welsh countryside with professor Thomas Evans is a dream come true, and the adventure of a lifetime.
Of course, the enormous crush Madison developed on the professor after a semester of his lectures at U of M has absolutely nothing to do with her desire to learn more about the enduring legend of Camelot. At least, that’s what she’s telling her parents.
When Madison meets fellow student Rhys Crewe, sparks fly, throwing her plans for wild fling with Professor Evans completely out of whack—as do her unexpectedly complicated feelings for Thomas. With tales of Arthur and Lancelot haunting her every waking moment, Madison has to make the most difficult choice of her life.

Jessica Jarman is an author, blogger, and rather
obsessive fangirl. Having grown up in Upper Michigan and currently living in Minnesota, she is a Midwestern girl through and through. And wouldn’t have it any other way.

When Jessica isn’t working to get words on the page, she passes the time with her amazing husband and four children, attempting to be crafty (and failing miserably), squeeing uncontrollably over her favorite shows or curling up with a good book.
Bronwyn Green is an author, blogger and compulsive crafter. She lives Michigan with her husband, two sons and three somewhat psychotic cats. When not frantically writing, she can be found helping in her youngest son’s classroom or binge-watching Netflix while working on her latest craft project.
Abigail Barnette (Jenny Trout) is a writer, blogger, and funny person. She has written award winning and bestselling erotic romance as Abigail Barnette. Writing as Jennifer Armintrout, she made the USA Today bestseller list with Blood Ties Book One: The Turning. Her novel American Vampire was named one of the top ten horror novels of 2011 by Booklist Magazine Online. She is a proud Michigander, mother of two, and wife to the only person alive capable of spending extended periods of time with her without wanting to strangle her. Visit her on twitter (@Jenny_Trout) or at her blog, jennytrout.com.
